Though she has the sun-kissed look of a California girl, Audrey Aleen Allen’s vibe is pure Colorado cool. A native of Northglenn (a suburb of Denver), Allen identifies with things that are “natural, easy, and innocent,” which are things she didn’t always correlate with Playboy growing up. But when an 18-year-old Allen saw Sara Jean Underwood’s centerfold, her idea of what Playboy embodied shifted. “She was so beautiful and natural and innocent—it completely altered my view of Playmates and what they’re about,” Audrey said.
Armed with a new perspective and plenty of natural beauty, Audrey broadened her blossoming modeling career, which had included calendars for Stoli and Lotus Concepts, and emerged as Miss June 2013.
Audrey described her Malibu-based shoot as “fun, innocent, perfect,” and though she was unclothed at times, she said that she didn’t feel naked, shy, or bashful. Her playful demeanor was captured perfectly, and Allen has gone on to fill her post-pictorial debut with an active calendar attending events as a Playmate, posting pics to her 100,000-plus followers on Instagram and pursuing her passions of cooking and traveling. She has journeyed to destinations all over the globe, including Cozumel and the Grand Caymans.
About traveling, Audrey said, “It’s never about the destination—it’s all about the journey.” And while her life trajectory could take any number of paths, the free-at-heart beauty is sure to embrace whatever opportunities come her way. Of modeling for Playboy, she said, “I wanted to prove to myself I could do this. Now, I feel I can do anything.
